From: bureau@math.arizona.edu (Pierre Bureau) According to an article of the Wall Street Journal [10/11/90], the Luftwaffe's pilots will finally operate 18 Mig 29 bought before the Reunification...after the russians had insisted on the fact a deal is a deal. They are already stationed in Cottbus (N.Germany) and will be modified to NATO standard of electronic warfare. As for the Mi-24 Hinds...the german army has now 24 of them in service. They could be part of the arm package the germans promised the americans. If so, they would be probably resold to some neutral middle east army unless the americans keep the copters for themselves...
