The Civil Air Patrol is an auxiliary of the United States Air Force, that provides emergency services (including search and rescue missions for downed aircraft), aerospace education, and a cadet program. As part of its operations, the Civil Air Patrol operates a radio communications network. If you are interested in receiving this newsletter, please send your name and InterNet address to aviator@athena.mit.edu. If you are a current CAP member, please include grade, squadron, charter number, and callsign. Submissions will also be accepted at this address, along with back issues requests.
