[sci.military] National Guard Info Requested

I'm considering joining the local National Guard, my eventual goal being to
fly Cobras. But my eyesight wasn't perfect, 20/20 in my right, and 20/40 in
my left, so I can't follow the ordinary path of going in, and going to warrant
officer school after a few years. So, my recruiter told me I could go in, go
to OCS and become an officer, and then I would be allowed to fly with corrected
vision.

Does anyone know how true this is? How would it work out? What's OCS like?
Are there any differences between regulard Army OCS and National Guard OCS?
If anyone could share their insight with me I'd appreciate it...
