There was a note in the paper today that the Australian Govt. will be
rotating the ships on duty in the gulf.

On 12 Nov, the FFG-7 HMAS Sydney (sister ship to the two FFGs
currently in the gulf, HMAS Adelaide and HMAS Darwin) and the HMAS
Brisbane DDG depart for the Gulf. The existing fleet are expected to
be back "in time for Christmas", "subject to operational requirements".

In January the supply ship HMAS Westralia (nee HMS Appleleaf) will
leave to replace the HMAS Supply.

DDG specs: "5 inch guns, Standard SAM, Ikara ASW missiles, ASW torpedoes"
FFG specs: "76 mm gun, Standard SAM, Harpoon SSM, ASW torpedoes,
	Phalanx CIWS"
