Did anyone get to see the Hercule Poirot
mystery that aired about two weeks ago
on Public Television on the "Mystery" se-
ries? I believed it was called "The great
theft" or "The Amazing Theft" or something
of the sort.

At the beginning, a new airplane is being
rolled out for display. I forget the (fic-
tional) name of the company (Maxfield?) but
the airplane was called the Kestrel.

The story takes place right before the war
(1938 or 39), and the airplane was to be
Britain's secret weapon agaisnt Germany.
Since this is a detective story, I won't
spoil it for you by revealing the ending 8-)

It was none other than a Spitfire IX! You
get to see it take off and do some tight
turns, then come in overhead on a low pass.
If you haven't seen this, try not to miss
it (too bad they couldn't find an early
Mk. I or II.. it would have fit the story
better...minor quibble though)..
