After 15,000 miles I am still pleased with my Mustang GT. It has not developed a single rattle, nor has anything broke. The biggest suprise was the good highway mileage I have gotten (27 mpg). While this may not be good for an econo box it is good for a 302 V8 with a Holley 4V carb on it. This car can blow just about anything off the road past or present. The handling while not the best in the world is good enough to have a good time at an autocross. It is good on a smooth course provided there is a nice long strait. If you can go with out AC do it, it improves F/R weight ratio by about 50 pounds. The 5 speed transmission is very smooth and positive. The Mustang GTs fit and finish is pretty darn good. While the trend today is toward turbo and/or fuel injection, I bet that after 70,000 miles my "big V8" car will be purring along while ALL (foreign and domestic) turbocharged whatevers will have self destructed. I doubt anybody has built a turbocharged sports car that lasts for 100k miles. Please anybody out there let the net know if your turbo has lasted over 50k miles. ihuxf!bryan Bryan DeLaney AT&T Bell Laboratories p.s. The Mustang GT is cheap for what you get ($10k-14K) Also be sure to get a front spoiler for it.
