Here are some details on the army deployments:

The three NG brigades will not be joining their roundout parents.  They
will be going to Fort Irwin for 5-7 weeks of training.  If at the end of
that time the army judges them fit for combat, they may be assigned to any
deploying division.

The 2nd Armored Division (Forward) consists of 1 brigade in Germany.  This
brigade will be attached to the 1st Infantry Division which is deploying
with 2 of it's 3 brigades.  The 1st Infantry Division (FWD) brigade is
being dismantled.

So, one brigade of the 2nd Armored is attached to 1st Cav, another to 1st
Mech, and the 3rd brigade was dismantled last summer.  No more 2nd Armored.
