I recently saw a posting in this newsgroup requesting valid numbers for
maximum range of the HARM missile. When I left the HARM program in '88, this
was classified and probably still is! No one who knows this information is
going to discuss it in public and risk going to jail. I also saw a request
for an explanation of the H in HARM (stands for High-Speed). I have seen
several postings that mentioned a 60/40 split for HARM production between
2 vendors. This is a fallacy. Texas Instruments is the only source today. The
competitor is at least a couple of years away from delivering any production
units.

Some questions on a posting that listed USAF units in Desert-shield. They
listed the following:

      35th TFW (F-4G)
      37th TFW (F-117A)
      52nd TFW (F-4G).

The last I kenw, the 37th was an F-4G wing. I never heard of the 35th. The
52nd was stationed in Germany, and was a mixed F-16 and F-4G wing. Anybody
on the net able to shed some light? I would like to know about
aircraft assigned and the home base of each Wild Weasel wing, plus squadrons
associated withneach wing.

 Thanks in advance.

                   Dave Hall
