Re: what sports car to buy The Supra is a glorious car to drive and maintain. Reliable responsive performance -- it exudes confidence. Best money I have ever spent. In 15K miles I haven't spent one dime on anything but normal maintenance (oil changes). Everything in the car works perfectly. The engine is strong and smooth, the shifting is concise, the brakes are excellent. It corners beautifully, the steering has excellent feel -- but best of all is the 4 wheel independent suspension. I had assumed that hard cornering on a bumpy surface was always accompanied by varying amounts of rear end "walking". Not true of this car. It is sure-footed. If you can afford a 944, you might like it better. But contrary to the magazines' statements, the 944 and Supra are NOT in the same price class. The magazines have obviously never tried to buy a 944. ihldt!dbg
