From: etlgecs@juno19.ericsson.se (Grahame Curtis TM/JD rum5844) According to issue XIV (November 1990) of Military Technology, the German Defence Ministry has decided to retain the 24 Mig-29's in service. These will be used for "air policing" of the former DDR territory within the framework of the East Territorial Army. Apparently, no NATO-assigned aircraft will be deployed in the former DDR territory until the Soviet withdrawal has been completed. This means that the Mig's will probably not see service alongside their NATO equivalents. :q
