[net.auto] Starting Problem - '73 Ford Courier

patj@azure.UUCP (Pat Johnson) (04/27/84)

After 4 fixes, this 4 cyl. stick still won't start after it's
been driven +/- one mile (until it's cooled down, and even
then it's hard to start).

Suggestions? Also hard to start when it's cold. It's got
a rebuilt engine.

if it cranks over slowly it sounds as if the engine was set
up "too tight" when it was rebuilt so that when it heats up
tthe friction is just too great to allow it to turn over. I
had that problem on a Pontiac engine. If that isn't what
you meant then I assume we're looking at an ignition or fuel
problem so give us a bit more detail.
