From: ellis@ecn.purdue.edu (Gregory R Ellis) I live about five minutes walking distance from the Air Force Museum, and I frequently visit it during my free time. I have probably been over twenty or thirty times, and I still haven't "seen" everything yet. There are so many exhibits that have a number of stories behind them that it is difficult to read all of them without spending at least two or three days there. I usually only go for a couple of hours each time I go because I can go any time I want to. I highly recommend seeing the Air Force Museum if you are in the area, but if you want to get anything out of it you really have to plan to visit at least two days (for the entire day). I have heard talk about the difficulty of taking photographs in the museum, but this really isn't true. The lighting is adequatefor taking pictures without a flash, but I would recommend using a flash if you want really bright pictures. True, there are a lot of people, but the majority of them are aviation buffs like yourself and are perfectly willing to step asideif you are trying to photograph an exhibit. I hope everyone gets a chance to see part of our aviation history. Gregory Ellis. gunn@maria.wustl.edu
