Hail and greetings,

In reference to a previous request for a reposting of the troops and
equipment engaged on all sides in the Desert Shield theatre:

Yes, I am the guy that's been making those postings.
No, I'm not going to re-post them at this time.
Yes, I will e-mail them to people who have missed them.

You see, since the last update I made not much has really changed. The
Canadians and Austrailians are rotating some ships, the US buildup continues,
and the Germans plan on sending old East German equipment that thay would
rather have blown up than have to maintain. I don't think a re-post is
a net-time-effective use at this time.

I also don't expect much to change before the January 15th UN Resolution #678
deadline, and reports don't expect the US buildup to be done before the
begining of February. (That would make them ready for hostilities a couple
of weeks into February; "The Saint Valentine's Day War" perhaps?? B-)
I expect to make a posting around then.

In the meantime, if anyone wants as up-to-the-minute as I can get you can
e-mail a request to me and I'll send you the files you need.

Also, if you have any information on troop buildups send them to me, the
media has been slacking off in describing the specifics given that after
four months it has become almost routine and the media has lost interest.

For example: do you know that the Marines have two Blackhawk helicopters
remaining in the entire continental US?? How about that there are no
main battle tanks left in England?? I wonder where they all went. B-)

Keep those cards and letters comming....
