At least it is according to MicroProse's M1 Tank Platoon. Do Wild Weasel's really carry more than the normal ECM gear? I ask because when I asked a weasel pilot about the plane, an F-4 modified to carry the Shrike anti-radiation missele, he said that they had stripped equipment to get the weight down for better acceleration and manueverability. The word is that the weasels want to get the SAM radar to lock on them for two reasons. One - it draws attention away from the attackers and two - it allows the Shrike to home on the illumination or attack radar of the SAM site. The pilot said the key was to know just how long you could taunt the SAM's before you have to duck. Any weasel drivers out there that can lend a hand here? Rick Lafford Member: Ridge Runners Anon.
