From: d7stfax@dtek.chalmers.se (Stefan Axelsson) This is a fairly simple question, just how do you effectively disperse gas from a ballistic missile? This is of course asked in the light of the Iraqi attack on Israel with Scud ( I believe this longer range derivate is dubbed the Al-Abbas ) missiles. Since a ballistic missile is a fairly expensive means of delivery, I suspect that the artillery grenade method of simply blowing it up a certain distance above the ground would not work satisfactory. Some kind of multiple warhead then, but isn't the speed at impact very high? How would you disperse fluid effectively at such a speed, and from a warhead traveling perpendicular to the target at that. I guess I am asking; Are balistic missiles an economical/practical means of delivery of anything but nuclear warheads, at these ranges anyhow? Thanks,
