How thick is the armor of the ship? (at the most thick point)  Once I was
told that it is about 40 inches of concrete thick.

[mod.note: According to Siegfried Breyer, _Battleships and Battlecruiser
1905-1970_, the Iowa class has the thickest armor on the conning tower;
445mm.  The main armored belt is 310mm thick.  Turret faces are 432mm.
