I am looking for a shock absorber that will help my 1974 Super Beetle ride a bit softer. Now, before I get flamed by all the "tight-ride" folks out there, I'm not looking for something that will cause the car to ride like a boat. I think that any VW owner will attest that the beetle doesn't take dips and bumps and potholes very comfortably. I'm just looking for something to help "smooth" out the ride a bit. The suspension on it now is some standard Monroe struts in front and Sears (no flames about Sears, please) Steadyriders (not Radial Tuned) on the back. My tires are Firestone Trax 12 all-weather radials. Any help would be appreciated. Please respond by electronic mail and any responses will be summarized.
