I have a crack in my exhaust manifold and I recently purchased headers for replacement. The headers don't have provisions for what GM calls the Pulsair system. Other than that, it looks like a straight bolt up operation. Has anyone had experience with the Pulsair system? More specifically, disconnecting it? The system failed once, actually the little control valve failed, and the main Pulsair canisters got so hot the rear one caused a fire from power steering fluid leaking on the exhaust manifold after it melted the power steering hose, which is routed directly above the rear Pulsair canister. Tentatively, I'm going to remove the canisters, plug the vacuum control line, and plug the intake manifold vent tap, but let all the rest of the hoses go where they used to. Anyone have any ideas or suggestion??? Thanks in advance Mikey at trsvax PS: No flames on polution, as the Pulsair system was really only necessary to meet California emmisions and I really don't give a sh*t anyway. 55 mph, its not just a good idea, it s*cks!
