From: Paul Hager <hagerp@iuvax.cs.indiana.edu> Unlike some folks, I am unprepared to conclude that the non-appearance of gas warheads on the Iraqi Scuds means that Iraqi technology is not up to producing such warheads. Many commentators have claimed that the Iraqis have Fuel Air Explosives (FAEs). These devices require a rapid dispersal mechanism for the aerosol and a subsequent ignition. The rapid dispersal mechanism for the FAE would appear to be analogous to what would be required for a functioning gas warhead. In otherwords, many of the physical performance requirements would seem to be identical.
