[sci.military] just how mobile are scud mobile launchers?

I am curious as to just what kind of a thing the mobile SCUD
missile launcher platforms are. That is to say, whether the
apparatus is roughly pickup truck sized, semi tractor-trailer
sized, or what, how readily it can be moved and at what speed, and a
sense of how easy it would be to "hide one in a residential
area" as I think I heard a US media report suggest.

It would seem to me that these mobile targets might be quite
easy to hide and hard to hit, and thus there could be a lot
more scuds fired before the war is out.

A decidedly scary thought.

I think the Scud is about tractor-trailer sized with cross-country capability.
The tractors were made by SAAB. I think the Scud 'hides' were constructed and/
or planned some time ago. The Scuds probably shoot from one hide and then scoot
to another hide.
