It saw action in Vietnam, and the Yom Kippur War, and has seen action around the world since. The operator places the cross hairs of his optical sight and keeps it there for the IR sensor in the nose of the missile to home in on. The warhead has been upgraded through a 5-in. warhead with a telescopic nose probe fuse that extrudes from the nose in flight to provide optimum stand-off penetration capability (in the Improved Tow.) The TOW 2 has a 6 in. warhead fitted with telescopic nose probe and given improved digital guidance and better propul- ion system. USSR AT-3 Sagger (PTUR-64 "Malatyuka") Specifications: Dimensions: Length 2'10.8" (0.883m) Diameter 4.69" (11.9cm) Launch Weight: 24.9 lb(11.3kg) Warhead: Hollow-charge HE 6.6lb(3.0kg) Armour Penetration: 16.14 in.(410mm) The "A" was the standard model with the "B" getting a 25% faster engine and the "C" got semi-automatic guidance. Svoiets seem to bolt the Sagger on anything, (BRDM-1, BRDM-2, BMP-1, BMD, Mi-2, Mi-8, Mi-24 among others) while the French, (East) Germans, and Czech's have used it and the Chinese used it as the model for the "Kun Wu".
