From: "Deer, Dogs, and Runners: What are the favorite foods of Mountain Lions? 07-Feb-1991 0930" <berenson@cookie.enet.dec.com> I can't remember if it was an article I read at the time, or a lecture by Commodore/Rear Admiral (Lower Half) Grace Hopper, but the explanation of the title change was that Commodore's were not receiving the treatment that should have been accorded them as flag officers. I think it must have been at one of Admiral Hopper's lectures, because I faintly recall her telling a humorous story of such mistreatment as an example of why they changed the name. .............................................................................
