Are there any readers of this group who can authoritatively answer the
following questions?

1. What is the racial makeup of the office corps of the US Army?

2. How does this compare with the major industrial enterprises in the US?

I have no intention of violating the charter of this group. If you feel that
replying here would do so then I would appreciate it if you could respond via
e-mail.

thanks in advance,

In a broadcast on Monitor Radio this morning the following figures were
quoted:

4.4 percent of the officer corps of the US military are Black

In 1971 there were approx. 500 Black officers in the US military,
today the number is approx. 3000.
