I've waited for a better look, but no such luck. The patch was a circle, with three slightly splayed vertical fields blue, white, red (that's easy), with a pair of gold wings across the middle (also obvious). Between the wings, on the white center field, were what appeared to be crossed swords and palm tree. The swords were clear, I'm not certain about the palm tree; something that shape (trunk with clump at the top). Is this a desert shield operations patch, or is it the Foreign Legion? By the way, the French uniforms are much cooler looking than the US. Martin Golding
