Know why the allied tanks did so well? Possibly because every tank
manufacturer in the free world was doing everything possible to
have his model look good. As U.K. Minister of Defense
Procurement, Alan Clark said, "I thought it was crazy to go ahead
and order a new tank in advance of what may in effect be a
full-scale field trial." Isn't competition wonderful?
