[net.auto] radar bans

<I hope my insurance agent doesn't read the net>

The only states that ban radar detectors are:
	VIRGINIA and CONNETICUT.

NEITHER confiscates them, however Va. use to. Drivers southbound
on US 13 or Interstate 95 in Maryland will see a large blank area
on the sign warning against radar detectors.

Conn. is a very adament about inforcing thier ban. For three years
they've been waiting for my $90. And when I called they also wanted
me to pay an extra fee just for digging out my file. Anybody know
what the statute of limitations for a non-moving violation is?

How can the police in VA or CT tell that you have been using
a radar detector, or is mere possession illegal?
There must be many out of state cars transiting that have
installed detectors.

to depend on it)
