From: kjetil@ifi.uio.no (Holm-Kjetil Holmsen) I had the pleasure of enjoing a stop in East Berlin last august. At the Brandenburger Tor the "gypsies" were selling all sorts of things, including a small night vision / light amplifing device. The lens was a 50 mm / f1.0. There seemed to be some sort of "slide fitting" underneth so that it could be mounted on a tripod or a rifle or .... It was powered by a (normal) 9V battery and quite compact. The main difference from the tree (wow!) different western light amlification devices I've tried, was that the emitted light was _yellow_ in stead of _green_. Allso, the image was not as good as i could remember from the other devices. The price?? 500 DM... I didn't have that much with me. Rats!
