[sci.military] Ed Luttwak lecture

Carl our dutiful interim moderator's reference to Ed Luttwak's books
reminds me -- one of the Boston NPR radio affiliates, WBUR, is bringing
Ed Luttwak in as one of a panel of three for a fund-raiser, apparently
looking at Desert Storm retrospectives or New World Orders. Those of
you not in Boston might check with your local affiliate of NPR
(National Liberal Radio) in hope it is a national fundraising tour.

As I recall, the price asked per seat was reasonable compared to
their usual, but sorry, with rush-hour traffic, I noted neither price
nor date in Boston.

   (Luttwak's first book, /Coup d'Etat: a Handbook/ is distressingly
still relevant. It specifies both how to structure the cells of a
conspiracy and how to pick city intersections to barracade; how to
imobilize loyalist units, and how to deal with any that show up.
I consider this book to be /The Prince/, volume II.)
