The amazingly low loss rates in Desert Storm will no doubt make it difficult to compare certain aspects of performance. The lack of serious fighter defence should also be noted. I am more curious about the low loss rates among the helicopters. Was this due to an absence of the big airmobile type operations? Did the Iraquis use any of the man-portable SAMS? thanx cliffw
