From: Jim Anderson <JANDERSON%WILLIAMA.BITNET@mitvma.mit.edu> This ought to get things rolling. The local Albany, New York newspaper reported a few weeks ago that the Watervliet Arsenal in suburban Albany provided several tank barrels to a west coast contractor and that these were the devices used to take out the bunker in Baghdad. The article stated that the Arsenal was provided with the laser-seeker heads and "tail-fin units" which they attached to the barrels. Ordinance was loaded by the contractor. Anybody out there pick up on this? As a sideline, the local media continually report that the barrels the arsenal make are used on the M1. Is that correct? I was under the impressing the MG on the M1 was German made. Jim Anderson Williams College Williamstown, MA (via Albany, New York)
