[net.auto] Is this the real thing ???????

 I find I've got some money available to put into my Z28 and
one of the first this I promised myself was some Recaro seats.
When I saw the prices of the new KR series  (399 & 499) I knew
my time had come.
 However I have heard that these are not german made but 
manufactured somewhere in Ohio !

        Any info as to the truth of this ? 

        If so are the as good as "the real thing" on a $ for $ basis ?
     
        Anyone use them and can you comment ?

BTW - the original seats offer excellent back support for long distance
      driving but not enough lateral support.
