From: bcstec!shuksan!major@uunet.UU.NET (Mike Schmitt) 105 ATACMS missiles were sent to the Gulf (all that the Army could muster). 30+ were fired at targets (Scud missile sites, air-defense sites, logistics bases, tactical bridges, and artillery positions.) ATACMS was kept under control of HQ Army Forces, CENTCOM. The only ATACMS warhead available for Desert Storm was the one loaded with dozens of M74 dual-purpose bomblets. Reports indicate that all ATACMS targets were destroyed or put of of action. Artillery units of the VII Corps and XVIII Airborne Corps fired a total of 90 Copperhead 155mm laser-guided rounds against tanks and other heavily protected targets. "A high success rate" was reported. Mike Schmitt
