From: 70425.232@CompuServe.COM (James F Dunnigan) [In reply to a question from me, John Hall forwarded this message from Mr. Dunnigan. --CDR] How to Stop a War was published in 1987 (Doubleday, ISBN 0-385-24009-0) and went out of print in 1989. I was warned that "peace books" don't sell and this is the only one of my books that went out of print without being replaced with a new edition. There's a lesson in there somewhere. If anyone wants an electronic version of the database, send me (328 W 19th, NY, NY 10011) a formatted 5.25" disk (1.2 MB HD) in a stamped, self addressed disk mailer and I'll send back the WK1 version (it was originally done in Reflex, the better to do all the stats). The WK1 format can be transferred to most other database or spreadsheet programs. I wish Saddam had had a copy of the book, it might have helped. In any even, I have a book on the Gulf war (Shield to Storm) coming out in September (Wm Morrow & Co.). Sort of a cross between How to Make War, Dirty Little Secrets and Quick & Dirty Guide to War. Well, what did you expect. Lots of good stuff in there.
