From: Dave Hastings <DAVEH@vax.oxford.ac.uk> Two difficulties with the B-49: - Its weapons bays could not carry the early A-bomb - Triplex-redundant digital flight control systems were not available in the late 40s - the B-49's manual FCS must have been a box of tricks!
