Open questions to the net. Maybe we can get off of the Muscle cars.

"Has BMW made a car worth driving since the turbo 2002?"

OR

"Why did BMW deliver the under powered 528e (most of which were
automatics) and the 318i when they knew full well USA Bimmer
drivers want cars such as the 745i, 533i, 323i and the 333i?"

OR BETTER YET

"Since most of the rebuttals to the Muscle Cars were based on Eropean
engineering, why can not (will not) US manufacturers produce cars
with blinding speed, cornering ability, comfort, will last
100,000 miles or more, seat four with room to spare and withstand
a collision that would pancake the front end and still
have the occupants walk away?"

examples:
         Saab Turbo
         Audi
         BMW 533i
         Mercedes-Benz 500SEL

TRUE STORY.

A friend of mine was forced off of the road and collided with an 18"
telephone pole. (60-0 mph in 0 feet) After unfastening her seat belt,
she opened the door and walked to the nearest phone. The front end of
her Saab had the impression of the telephone pole reaching the unbroken
windshield.

ANOTHER TRUE STORY

In Dayton, Ohio a police car was in a high speed chase on city
streets. On a tight turn the officer side-swiped a telephone pole.
The Ford Fairmont broke in half killing the officer. There was nothing
left of the Fairmont to salvage. After an investigation by Ford at the
request of the city, Ford stated, "There is nothing wrong with the safety
of the Fairmont."
