I'm thinking of buying a new SAAB 900 or 900S but I'm concerned about rumors regarding reliability of these cars after the 50,000 mile point and rumors regarding extensive routine maintenance. I can change filters, oil, spark plugs and the like but am concerned by valve adjustments and other more extensive maintenance. There is only one SAAB dealer in this town so good mechanics are not likely to be easy to come by. As usual, please respond by mail. I'll post a summary.
