This is a (terribly) edited piece of info on world subs from some time
ago. I was wondering if anybody had any more info on the classifications
(SSN, SSGN, SSBN, SSB, & SS) as well as powerplant and drive information.
Such as Diesel powered, usually 4x 16 cyl engines approx 3500 cu in each,
OR Nuclear power, heavy water breeder - french design. Further, I have
read (unknown sources) that nuclear subs do exist that do not have batteries
onboard that can operate the sub for more than about 10 minutes. More info
on this would be welcome also.
Lastly, a type name TR1700 was indicated, but I don't see a country of
origin or any information on it. This would be welcome too.
