The Yakovlev 141, recently revealed in model form in Paris, is a
supersonic V/STOL multi-role aircraft. (Previously called Yak-41.)

It has two lifting engines, of type Length 18,7 m
RD, in tandem behind the cockpit. Span 10,1 m
Under the intakes (which stretch far folded 5,9 m
forward) are two Harrier-like strakes. Height 5 m
A vectoring Tumansky R-79 provides Max take-off weight
power for lift and cruise. It is said (not vertical) 19500 kg
it can also be vectored in forward Max weapon load 2600 kg
flight. Stretching behind it are two Max speed 970 kt
booms holding fins and stabilizers, Max range
which are wholly behind the exhaust. vertical take off 1400 km
The wing seems to have a sweepback of short take off
25 degrees. It has a multimode radar external fuel 2100 km
and an internal 30 mm cannon.
