From: Ian Woodrow <woody@udcf.glasgow.ac.uk> ATTENTION YE PEOPLE OF EUROPE: I am trying to find out about any military air shows happening in Eastern Europe this year (I know Kbely, Czechoslovakia on SEPT 14). Preferably nations operating soviet hardware (MiGs, Sukhois, Mils and the like), ie Hungary, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Jugoslavia. What about the Soviet bases in Eastern Germany - don't suppose they would be having any open days ? BTW if anyone can tell me what Soviet bases are still operational in Eastern Germany then please email me the info. I have seen the display schedule for the Thunderbirds & apparently they are performing at DEBLIN, POLAND on 17 Sept and TASZAR, HUNGARY on 19 Sept. Does anyone know if there are open days at the bases on these days ?
