While on a trip from St.Louis to D.C., I stopped to get gas in Ohio east of Columbus (First stop since SL). Texaco had the cheapest advertised regular gas (which I am still lucky enough to drink) so I went there. Usually I pull up to a pump that says 89 Octane. I couldn't find one. EVERYTHING was boosted by 2 or 3 Octane. The regular at 91 Octane was only $1.11 (I paid $1.16 for 89 octane in SL). So I asked the attendant. He said he thought it was only in the midwest and didn't know much else. But he did say he loved the extra power he got. I didn't notice gobs of extra power, but 470 miles later my fuel light hadn't gone on. I made it all the way back to D.C. and we took Rte 40 through the hills most of the way in PA and MD. I got almost 5 MPG better with this tank full than I did from St.Louis to that gas station in Ohio (which was FLAT!) I'm impressed. Does anyone know if StarPower is going to come east? When? Does anyone sell high octane regular around here? (D.C.) Thanks in advance, Fred P.
