[net.auto] Transporting a junk car

I have a problem that I'm not sure how to handle so I thought I'd
ask for help through the net. My brother is a car nut and has been
trying to get a 1958 Buick in tip-top shape for a long time. He has
been looking for a rust-free bumper for a long time. I spotted one
for him on an old junker. The problem is that the car is in Denver
and he's in Wisconsin. The car is not drivable (the front end
is pretty well totaled). He wants to keep the entire car because
it's still full of good parts. Does anyone have any ideas as to how
to transport the car from Denver to Wisconsin (cheaply if possible)?
Please send any suggestions to me or call.

                                             Thank you very much!

If you do tow the car, I suggest that you remove the drive shaft
prior to towing it. I froze up a chrysler A727 transmission once
towing a car from Burlington (Vermont) to Syracuse (NY).

Have you tried contacting U-Haul or other one-way rental places to see
if they will rent car trailers? Another idea is to see about renting
a tow dolly (U-Haul use to rent them, I think they still do) if the rear
of the car is in good enough condition to tow.

Good Luck
