[tor.test] I still don't understand

woods@robohack.UUCP (Greg A. Woods) (12/24/89)

[ Can inews be told, preferably by a header line of some sort, to mail
a copy to someone, in addition to posting, or am I wishing for too much? ]

I once had all locally generated, outgoing articles mailed to the
usenet id. Recently this stoped working properly. I diddn't really
notice until today, when I was cleaning out usenet's mailbox.

None of the articles I posted to tor.test yesterday were mailed by
either control line as I had expected. However my tor.news.stats
posting was mailed, by the 'usenet2' line, as expected:

Dec 24 00:19:16.000 robohack + <1989Dec24.051823.14625@robohack.UUCP> druid eci386 ecicrl nebulus telly tmsoft usenet2

It seems to me that this behavior started after I discovered that it
was indeed dangerous to use the libstdio stuff on my 3B2 (when expire
was mis-behaving, I decided to run the regression tests, which
promptly failed). Once I had re-linked everything without the
libstdio stuff, expire worked fine, though relaynews seemed a bit
slower (1-2 art/s, down from 2-3 art/s, both with the new dbz). I
don't know if it is indeed this time at which the mail stopped, as I
have been tuning the sys file at the same time. I haven't made any
changes to the 'usenet' line however.
