The only modem I know of that speaks this to date is the Everex "Everfax 24/96 MODEL D" version. But hopefully when the EIA standard is hammered out, there will be lots of choices. I finally got the fax-spooler process to live reliably when fax-receive is enabled, by punting the select() system call for reading the serial port, and doing a read() with an alarm() timeout.
