comp.archives is being archived on cs.toronto.edu in ~ftp/comp.archives. It's accessible by anonymous ftp (please do not try during working hours -- 0900-1800). The README is enclosed below. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the comp.archives database and archive. The directories index, info, and site contain the official database. The file archive.misc contains miscellaneous other postings in a mailbox format. (Mostly Ed Vielmetti's excerpts, and the accompanying text from database updates etc) There may be archive.misc.YYYY.MM.Z (or archive.misc.YYYY) files which are old archive.misc files, compressed to save space. The admin.* files are the introductory postings for comp.archives that are repeated periodically. requests are postings requesting info about src. Any ,v files are RCS. Ignore them. comp.archives is archived automatically - if you notice anything wrong with this archive, or have any other comments about it, please let me know. - archivist@cs.toronto.edu
