The lack of a non redundant data base s a vexing one. If you are interested
just in transcribed regions only, you may try Philipp Buchers
EPD Data set. It contains a carefully balanced selection
yf transcribed genes, with their flanking sequences. The Data set, and the
program necessary for data extraction, are deposited at the EMAL data
bank. It contains only plant and animal genes.
