Of course they (those who drive at very high speed) don't turn around and talk to their passengers,etc. How could they driving 160 kph without immediately having a fatal accident? Their (and, once again I'm talking about the speed demons, not all German drivers) real lack of discipline shows through whenever an unusual situation presents itself. For example, I've driven in Germany when it rained so hard that visibility was almost nil. In those circumstances, quite a number of drivers continued to roar by at very high speed. Also check out a construction zone where traffic is reduced to 2 lanes (one coming, one going) seperated only by small round disks on the pavement. In such situations, I have several times had drivers sitting behind me flashing their headlight because I was going *only* 120kph! S.
