I think it's a good idea: in the member application, let's be room for member's e-mail address(es). e-mail is the faster way (except phone) to get in contact with a member. old members may write their address(es) in the renewal form. I wait for your comments,ideas,etc. Nick. PS. The RAB/TAB joint sub-committee on Electronic Mail (of which I am a part of) is already planning this. Hopefully, we will be able to use this to help regenerate the master 'alias' file on ieee.org. They use a system which we call 'COMPMAIL', which is a Commercial E-Mail system (currently thru DialCom [now BT-Tymnet]). We are planning to have all COMPMAIL users have an alias at ieee.org (in the form of f.last@ieee.org [first initial/ last name]). At present, only some key people are in the alias list.
