A good place to start is probably IEEE Service Center 445 Hoes Lane, P.O. Box 1331 Piscataway, NJ 08855-1331 (201)981-0060 I think there is also a service center in S. California but I don't have the address handy. Jeff Radick uunet!sco!jeffr or jeffr@sco.COM or radick@ucscb.UCSC.EDU

I am afraid some netters are confused about the IEEE and IEEE-Computer Society. The Computer Society is one of several professional societies that form the IEEE (other societies include Power, Communications, Robotics, etc.) One can belong to the IEEE-Computer Society only or to both IEEE and IEEE-Computer Society (CS-only members don't get some IEEE benefits and don't receive Spectrum). To join the IEEE, contact the IEEE Service Center in Piscataway (I have not seen their application forms in many years but I assume one could use it to join any number of the societies with one application.) To join the Computer Society contact the West Coast office: Computer Society of the IEEE 10662 Los Vaqueros Circle Los Alamitos, CA 90720-2578 (714) 821 8380 The CS application form also allows members to join the IEEE (but not other IEEE societies.) Applicants don't need to contact both organizations. The Computer Society also has offices in Brussels and Tokyo but anybody can enroll through the address above. Mario R.
