                                      SESSION ON

TESTING METHODOLOGY FOR DISTRIBUTED REAL-TIME SYSTEMS

Under the auspices of IEEE, papers are invited for a session on
"Testing Methodology for Distributed Real-Time Systems".
Integration and testing of distributed real-time systems
pose some unique challenges for the developers and system testers.
This session will focus on various integration and testing
methodologies for building high quality real-time systems
which operate in a distributed environment. A distributed
environment may consist of independent processors
connected over a Local Area Network/Wide Area Network or
loosely coupled multi-processors connected over a high speed bus.

The topics will include but not restricted to the following:

+ Integration and testing strategies for real-time computer platforms

          + Debugging tools for trouble-shooting real-time applications

+ Software design considerations for testability of
            distributed real-time applications

+ Load testing and performance characterization methodologies

+ Any other interesting and related topic

Prospective authors should submit the following:

Nov. 30, 1990 Extended Abstract ( not to exceed 1000 words)
Feb. 15, 1991 Notification of acceptance to authors
May 30, 1991 Photo-ready copy of the final version of complete
paper (not to exceed 2500 words)

Please circulate this notice to appropriate persons who might be
interested in contributing to this session.
