[Next Exit 24,999 Miles] In the Buffalo area, many elderly drivers prefer the middle of three lanes, because it has no fences or rails to hit. If they are also driving slowly, people will pass them on whichever side is convenient. Other things being equal, I find it safer to pass on the left. -- Col. G. L.
